Kent Deaf Children’s Society are looking for an Administration Support Worker (part time)

12 hours per week. Fixed term 12 month contract                            Salary: £8 per hour

The successful candidate will need:

bullet Relevant qualifications and or experience in administrative environment
bullet Competent IT skills (KDCS uses the Microsoft Office suite of applications including Word & Excel)
bulletGood standards of numeracy and literacy
bulletThe ability to organise themselves and prioritise workload
bullet Excellent communication skills and a willingness to develop further through Deaf Awareness and BSL etc
bulletThe ability to develop administrative systems which increase and enhance maximum efficiency

We are offering a flexible working regime; working from your own home. There will be a comprehensive support package including mileage to help you achieve your remit.

You will be line managed and accountable directly to a nominated Trustee who will support you and ensure you have the tools to do your job.

This role requires you to maintain society records and archives safely and securely, take minutes at meetings and disseminate with other paperwork to members, action mail outs, keep a daily check on the email account and forward to relevant people, general administration duties and develop systems to enhance your role for the benefit of the society, administration tasks for specific projects run by the society.

This role will require you to occasionally attend meetings/events in the evenings/weekends.
