Kent Deaf Children’s Society are a self funded, self help group run by parents, in partnership with Professionals and other organisations. We are a registered charity with the Charity Commission of England and an affiliated group of the National Deaf Children’s Society. The Group has a constitution, which sets out the aims and objectives of the KDCS and lays down the rules for governing the society. (Copies available on request) Our registered address is 11 Beatty Avenue, Gillingham, Kent, ME7 2BZ Tel: 07982 682772
We work with various statutory bodies across Kent and Medway as a consultative group to promote the issues of deaf children and the impact this has upon family life. KDCS are the only recognised parental representative group in Kent for Deaf Children and their families.
As such our members have a very powerful voice when it comes
to the delivery of services. We also act as a friend in times of stress
providing advice and empathy when needed. If you would like to become a member of the KDCS, you can download our KDCS leaflet by clicking HERE (pdf file 272k) |
